Come to Our Mardi Gras Party
We're tired of winter and want to do something fun so we're throwing a party at Norway Gardens. Special sale will be in effect beginning Thursday, February 11, and special events will take place on Saturday, February 13. Enjoy the following seminars on Saturday:
10:30 a.m. -- Seminar "All About Houseplants" with Tom & Mary Ann. Learn why houseplants are a healthy asset to your home. Get tips on houseplant care. Enjoy our great suggestions on how to incorporate houseplants into your interior decorating.
1 p.m. -- Seminar "Attracting Spring Birds to your Garden & Landscape." Guest speaker Leslie Murray from Commerce Corp. will share her expertise on attracting spring birds to our gardens. Bluebirds, hummingbirds, orioles -- to name just a few -- are welcome visitors to our backyards in the Spring. Find out how to lure returning Spring Birds to YOUR garden! Those who attend this seminar can receive 10% off any bird feeder they purchase on Saturday. This is in addition to all the bird specials offered the public during our Mardi Gras days.
Enjoy a slice of King's Cake and cup of coffee as you shop and enjoy our seminars. Note: we had hoped to serve lunch between seminars. However, when I called the Health Dept. to get permission to do this, I found out I was too late -- needed more notice than what I had given. I will know better next time! In the meantime, this year enjoy the yummy King's Cake we are serving. King's Cake is the traditional sweet treat of a New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration. This year you can enjoy it at our Norway Gardens Mardi Gras Bash. |
February Hours at Norway Gardens
During the month of February Norway Gardens will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday and Monday. In the event of extremely bad weather, the store will be closed. For snow removal in such an event, call 583-7571 or 583-9011. |

Be sure to check out the new Bird Department at Norway Gardens. We offer a great variety of excellent bird feeders with lots of wonderful features. With the purchase of any bird feeder that costs $20 or more you will receive a FREE FILL of bird seed -- up to 2 lbs. of finch feed with finch feeder or up to 5 lbs. Naturalist No Waste Bird Feed with the purchase of a wild bird feeder. This is a wonderful bonus for you and helps us encourage you to try our high quality bird feed blends.

Directions to Norway Gardens
Here are directions for several ways to find Norway Gardens in Monticello, Indiana.
DIRECTIONS:
(1) From East of Monticello on US 24: Drive on US 24 to SR 39 (blinker light). Turn North (toward Buffalo) and drive 1.8 miles. Turn left on Co. Rd. 175 N and drive .6 miles to foot of hill (Norway Dam will be ahead to your left). Turn left onto Francis St. (street just before you reach the dam) and drive until you reach Beaver Dam Inn. Turn right onto W. Walleston. Norway Gardens is at the end of that street.
(2) Also from the east: Take US 24 west into Monticello. Turn right on Main St. and go north to the Drive-In Theater. Turn right, go down the hill and on to Walleston Avenue (next to Beaver Dam Inn). Turn left on Walleston and find Norway Gardens at the end of this 3-block-long street.
(3)From West of Monticello on US 24: Turn north at the stop light at 6th St. Continue on 6th Street until you see the Pine View Golf Academy on your right. Turn there (Norway Rd) and drive approximately .6 mile. Norway Gardens will be on your right.
